The year 2007 marks the 400th anniversary of the establishing of Jamestown.

In his forthcoming book, "Jamestown: Seven Modern Lessons from an Ancient World," and corresponding program, Jim tells the compelling story of the founding of Jamestown, while sharing with listeners the unique lessons they can learn from the settlers and apply to their own lives today.

If you’re planning a conference in Virginia in 2007, Jim’s Jamestown presentation is the perfect choice.

No other speaker in the nation would be more entertaining and topical for a conference held in the Williamsburg-Jamestown area, or anywhere else in Virginia. Historians can tell you what happened at Jamestown in 1607, but no one else can teach your conference attendees practical information while making history come alive in a way they will remember forever.

In his presentation, Jim teaches listeners how to:

  • Be brave. Take risks.
  • Boil the water.
  • Cut down the grass.
  • Be nice to strangers.
  • Don’t burn bridges.
  • Be afraid -- of everything.
  • Lead by example.
  • Be adaptable.
  • Be willing to change your plans.
  • Be a survivor.
